Phillies at the MLB Trade Deadline: Dombrowski adds bullpen arm and OF bat
As the Major League Baseball trade deadline approaches, the Philadelphia Phillies have made one major move, adding closer Jhoan Duran from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for right-handed pitcher Mick Abel and minor league catcher Eduardo Tait.
However, Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski didn't rule out the team adding another piece to the team's inconsistent offense, and he did that on Thursday, adding Harrison Bader, a right-handed hitting outfielder.

Other Names Linked to the Phillies

Another name that could be on the Phillies' list, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, includes Nationals outfielder Alex Call.
Call, as a part-time player, has hit .274/.371/.386 in 237 plate appearances this season. He's done well against lefties, which is why the Phillies are targeting him. Call has an .802 OPS vs. lefties in 2025. He can play all three outfield positions.
