Phillies Three Dramatic 9th Inning Comeback Wins Highlight Week in Philly Sports

The Philadelphia Phillies became the first team in MLB history to hit a go-ahead HR in the 9th inning in three straight games. Unbelievable!  It's amazing to see the Phillies score 15 ninth-inning runs in their three games to beat the Washington Nationals.  Stott, Harper, Derek Hill, and Brad Marsh provided the power with dramatic home runs late in the three come from behind wins over the Nationals to take the four-game series three games to one.

The Phillies are now only four games behind the slumping Atlanta Braves in the National League East; Remember the Phillies were 10 games behind when they fired Rob Thomson at the end of April.  Up next, the Miami Marlins, now in third place in the division, are three games behind the Phillies. 

The Sixers used the 22nd overall pick in this year's NBA draft to select LaBaron Philon Jr.  Philon is a 6’3” do-everything guard from Alabama who was considered a high-level defensive player, and is expected to provide needed depth in the Sixers back court next season.  The NHL draft starts Friday night, and the Flyers are having their draft party again at the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City. The Flyers traded Garnet Hathaway, and a 2026 6th round pick to the Florida Panthers in exchange for a 2025 5th round pick and a 2027 4th round pick earlier this week.
