The Philadelphia Phillies are getting a chance to take part in one the most exciting MLB games.

The Phillies will face the Minnesota Twins next year’s 'Field of Dreams Game' in Dyersville, Iowa, the league announced on Sunday. 

Phillies’ History in MLB Showcase Events

This will be the third time the Phillies will be playing in one of MLB's showcase events, playing in Little League Classic twice (2018 and 2023) and in London during the 2024 season.

Per reports, the Twins will be the home team for the game.

Philadelphia and Minnesota are set to play a game during the 2026 season at the Historic site where the iconic movie featuring Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones was filmed.

A First for Philadelphia at the Iconic Site

This is the first time the Phillies will compete in the Field of Dreams game, which has been played twice before in 2021 and 2022 on the second Thursday of August and broadcast on FOX.

There is a new ballpark constructed on the site, which will be used for this game, and in past games, both teams wore throwback uniforms resembling the 1919 uniforms used in the movie.

Other MLB teams that have competed in the event are the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees.
