The Phillies announced that Mick Abel will pitch the first game starting at 1:05 p.m., and Cristopher Sánchez is set to pitch the second game at 6:05 p.m.

In Game 1, the Phillies will face right-hander Nick Pivetta, which means the team has all of their left-handed bats in the lineup today.
Pivetta, who spent four seasons with the Phillies from 2017-2020, is 8-2 with a 3.36 ERA, 1.033 WHIP in 16 games for the Padres this season.

In Game 2, the Phillies will see Dylan Cease, another right-hander.
Phillies Add Seth Johnson for Doubleheader
The Phillies have added right-handed pitcher Seth Johnson from Triple-A Lehigh Valley as the additional player for today’s doubleheader against the San Diego Padres.
Johnson, 26, has made 24 appearances (four starts) for Lehigh Valley this season and has a 4.43 ERA (21 ER, 42.2 IP) with 53 strikeouts to 26 walks.
This is his second stint with the Phillies this season.
