The Phillies made a flurry of roster moves today ahead of their three game showdown with the New York Yankees at Citizens Bank Park.

First the Phillies welcomed back utility man Jesmuel Valentin from the paternity leave list and optioned Mitchell Walding to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.On the mound, the Phillies placed RHP Edubray Ramos on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder impingemen, in his place, they recalled Hector Neris from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

The right-hander, Neris, returns from a brief stint at Triple-A Lehigh, where he threw two scoreless innings, but was 1-3 with a 6.00 ERA in four starts in 30 games before being sent down last week.

Ramos has pitched in 33 games, this season and is 2-0 with a 1.24 ERA and one save in 33 games. He gave up two runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning during Sunday's loss to the Nationals before the team placed him on the DL today.
