Phillies Make Minor Roster Move with Valentin Heading to Paternity List

The Phillies will be without Jesmuel Valentin for the next few days, the utility man was placed on the paternity leave list. In his place, the Phillies have activated outfielder Dylan Cozens has been activated from the DL.

Valentin is hitting .217 this season with one home run and four RBI in a utility role.  Cozens, recently made his major league debut, missed two weeks with a strained left quad, he is hitting .222 with one homer and two RBI in just five big league games.
