Phillies, MLB to Release 2020 Schedule Tonight

The full 2020 Major League Baseball schedule, along with the Philadelphia Phillies 60-game schedule will be revealed tonight starting at 6 p.m. EST.

The new Opening Day of the 2020 slate will take place Thursday, July 23, with it being reported that the Phillies will open at home, in Philadelphia, against the Miami Marlins on Friday the 24th.

Each MLB club will face 40 divisional opponents with 20 more interleague games against the corresponding division.

For the Philadelphia Phillies, that means the team will play 40 games against National League East opponents with 20 more against the American League East division.

The Phillies began preparation for the abbreviated year with team workouts at Citizens Bank Park over the July 4 weekend with multiple players held out of due to coronavirus protocols
