Phillies Return Home: Lineup vs Padres, Nola on Mound
After a 4-2 six-game west coast road trip, the Philadelphia Phillies return to Citizens Bank Park for a rematch with the San Diego Padres.
Philadelphia swept San Diego last week in Southern California for the first time since 2024 and has lost four straight to the Phillies, dating back to last season.
Phillies vs. Padres: Can the Home Cookin' Warm Up the Bats?
The cold Phillies bats will look to warm up against Padres right-hander Randy Vásquez, who had been much better away from Petco Park this season, going 2-1 with a 1.46 ERA in four starts on the road this season.
Vásquez gave up three home runs in the game in 5.2 innings pitched, giving up eight hits, three earned runs, two strikeouts, and one walk.
The Phillies will lead off Kyle Schwarber, with Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Brandon Marsh rounding out the top four.
With Marsh in the cleanup spot, Alec Bohm and Byson Stott behind him at five and six. The bottom three are Justin Crawfod, Adolis García, and Garrett Stubbs, hitting ninth.
Garcia has really struggled and has been moved to the eigth spot in the line, and is in the middle of a 3 for his last 57 slump with 30 strikeouts during that time.
