The Eastern League announced both the offensive and pitching performances of the week today.  The Eastern League is home to the Double-A Reading Fightin' Phils, who took home both awards this time around.  Third baseman and first baseman Zach Green earned the offensive player of the week award, while pitcher Ranger Suarez took home the honor among pitchers.

Green batted .417 over the last week.  That included many extra base hits:  Green hit one triple, three doubles, and five home runs during that span.  Green drove in 13 while scoring 10 runs himself.

As for Suarez, the lefty made two starts during the week.  He won both of them, pitching a complete game (seven innings) to open a double-header, and going seven strong in the other.  He allowed just one earned run in that span, while striking out seven.

While Green is unranked among the Phillies MLB Pipeline Top 30 prospects, Suarez comes in ninth.
