The Philadelphia Phillies’ lineup was ranked just inside the top 10 on ESPN’s list of the top 32 lineups ahead of the 2026 MLB season.

The Core Returns: Stability in the Heart of the Order

ESPN MLB writer Bradford Doolittle ranked the Phillies’ lineup as the ninth-best in the league. Philadelphia’s 2026 lineup sees most of its core return from last season, with Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, JT Realmuto, Brandon Marsh, and Bryson Stott all returning to the Phillies lineup.

The Phillies scored the eighth-most runs (778) in the MLB last season, while hitting the ninth-most home runs (212) and hitting a second-best .258. Turner led the National League with a .304 hitting average and scored 94 runs from the leadoff spot, while Schwarber hit 56 home runs, to finish second in the MVP voting.

New Faces in South Philly: The García and Crawford Impact

Philadelphia has made just two notable additions to the lineup this offseason, with the acquisition of right fielder Adolis García in free agency and the addition of rookie Justin Crawford.

Most of this is pretty self-evident if you watch the Phillies a lot except, perhaps, the No. 1 ranking in the baserunning category. That one at least caught me off guard despite the presence of Turner.

Adding Crawford, who had 46 steals at Triple-A, should only help make their baserunning even better in 2026.

García, 33, is coming off back-to-back down campaigns, where the 2023 ALCS MVP slashed just .227/.271/.394 with 19 homers in 2025.

Meanwhile, Crawford is coming off a tremendous year offensively as the rookie slashed .334/.411/.452 with seven homers and 46 steals in 112 games at Triple-A Lehigh Valley last season.

Additionally, the Phillies are hoping that Otto Kemp can give the Phillies some more impact as a right-handed bat in a platoon with Marsh in left field.

Do you think the Phillies have one of the Top 10 lineups in baseball?
