Trade Options the Phillies Could Explore to Replace Alvarado

Without Alzarado, the Phillies lack a high-leverage bullpen arm from the left side.  CBSsports.com mapped out nine options the Phillies could look to add to replace Alvardo in a trade. Of the options they listed, only one was left-handed, Reid Detmers from the Los Angeles Angels.

Losing Alvarado was a big loss, with another option being moving Ranger Suarez to the bullpen when Andrew Painter is ready to get the call to the majors. Another possibility is right-hander Seth Johnson, who was moved to the bullpen a few weeks ago for Trip,e-A Lehigh, who has 35 strikeouts in 29 innings and a 4.35 ERA and 1.552 WHIP in 13 games.
