Phillies Reinstate Didi Gregorius, Place Nick Maton on I.L.
The Phillies have won three in a row, two since parting ways with manager Joe Girardi, and will be getting shortstop Didi Gregorious back.
The team has reinstated the veteran, while placing utility man Nick Maton on the injured list with a right shoulder issue.
The 32-year-old veteran missed nearly a month due to a left knee sprain, hitting .288 with seven RBI in 18 games with the Phillies.
The 25-year old Maton has appeared in just two games since being called up this past week. He was injured making a outstanding catch, but landed awkwardly on his right shoulder.
In 52 games last year, Maton hit .252 with two home runs. He was hitting .241 at Triple-A Lehigh before getting called up to Philadelphia.
Look for Bryson Stott, Gregorius and Johan Camargo rotate at shortstop, with Stott snd Camargo playing plenty of second base with Jean Segura out for 10-12 weeks.
For Sunday's game Gregorius is not in the lineup, the team has Stott at shortstop and Camargo at second base.
The Phillies close out their three game series with the Angels, look for their fourth win in a row and a sweep of Los Angels.
First pitch is 1:35.
