Phillies fans can get a glimpse of the future today - they just have to drive to Reading to see it.

The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will send the seventh overall pick in last years MLB amatuer draft, Aaron Nola to the mound in game one of their double-header.  In game two, the 27th overall selection in the 2010 draft, Jesse Biddle will get the ball against Portland.

It's a chance for Phillies fans to hope - at least for one day.

Nola was scheduled to throw on Thursday night, but the game was postponed by rain, so he will make is 2015 debut this afternoon at 1pm and shortly after Biddle will take the mound.

I spoke to Gregg Murphy, part of the Phillies broadcast team, who will join me every Friday at 2:30 to discuss the Phillies, about the young Reading rotation and the hope that it brings.

"They have a couple of young guys that they are very high on," Murphy explained.  "Jesse Biddle, for whatever reason, people are forgetting about Biddle who had a real good spring, he had a real good spring, I spoke to him on several occasions in spring training and he seems to be right where he needs to be, so don't sleep on him.  And some of the guys they got back in  some of these trades they are very high on as well, this Reading rotation is something fans should keep an eye on."
