The Phillies optioned pitcher Phillippe Aumont to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, this disappointing right-hander has a 4.19 ERA and 1.91 WHIP in 19 1/3 innings this season at the major league level.

Aumont was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley with a 4.15 ERA and 2.08 WHIP over 16 appearances back on May 22.  He was called up to provide bullpen depth back on June 23, when Michael Stutes was placed on the disabled list.

To take his place on the Phillies 25-man roster, the team called up Luis Garcia from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.  Garcia has a 1.67 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 39/12 K/BB ratio in 37 2/3 innings this season in the Phillies' minor league system.

The Phillies also transferred set-up man Mike Adams from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
