When the Phillies return from the All-Star break on Friday, in a doubleheader against the Miami Marlins, they will do so without their top two pitchers getting the call.

The Phillies announced their rotation for the weekend four-game set with the Marlins and they will send Matt Moore to the mound in Game 1 on Friday, followed by Zach Eflin in Game 2 on Friday night.

On Saturday it will be Vince Velasquez getting the ball, followed by Zack Wheeler on Sunday. Wheeler, of course, threw just three pitches in the All-Star game on Tuesday night will not go in the first three games, so he will miss the series against the Yankees.

The one name missing from this series is Aaron Nola.

Nola if you recall was scratched from his last scheduled start on Sunday before the All-Star break and placed on the COVID-19 list as part of contact-tracing after Alec Bohm returned a positive test.

After the Phillies play the Marlins, they will start a two game set with the New York Yankees, and hopefully Nola will be ready to appear in that series.
