Mike Gill and Todd Ranck open the show talking about the loss the New York Knicks suffered at the hands of LeBron and the Heat last night. Of course when the Knicks have problems, the name Carmelo Anthony always comes up. Mike Gill is wondering why Anthony was such a talent in college and led Syracuse to a National Championship, yet isn't able to do the same in the NBA. Also, the guys were asking what kind of formula works in today's NBA. Do you need a "Big 2 or Big 3?" Or is a team effort like the Dallas Mavericks last year the best way to win?
Previewing Braves vs. Phillies
Atlanta Braves beat reporter for 680 The Fan was on air at 2:45 previewing this 3 game series between Phillies/Braves. The Braves are currently in 2nd place just .5 games behind the 1st place Nationals. McAlpin said
Dei Lynam talks Sixers
CSN NBA Insider Dei Lynam called in at 3:05 to help preview Game 2 between Sixers and Bulls. Do the Sixers now have a chance of winning the series without Derrick Rose. Dei said she talked to Sixers PG Jrue Holiday and he said he knows he has to get after C.J. Watson early, who is playing in replacement of Derrick Rose. She also said you can't let Joakim Noah feed off the energy from the home crowd and be physical against our guys.
Going to Chicago
At 3:30 we traveled to Chicago and talked with Bulls beat reporter for ESPN 1000 and ESPN Chicago, Nick Friedell. What kind of mood are the Bulls in without Derrick Rose? Friedell says the fans in Chicago still arent worried about this 1st round match up against the Sixers, rather they are concerned with getting past Miami in the Eastern Conference. Friedell also said Rip Hamilton is the guy to watch in the scoring department.

Mike and Todd open up the hour talking about the Sixers chances. Mike Gill thinks that if the Sixers win Game 2 tonight, they have a chance to upset. Todd on the other hand thinks the Bulls will win regardless. He says the Bulls would even win the series if the Sixers were to take a 2-1 series lead.

Rick Tocchet calls in
At 5:05 we had former Flyer and current CSN NHL analyst Rick Tocchet call in and preview Game 2. Tocchet made sure to stress the importance of keeping up the aggressive fore checking style that Peter Laviolette preaches. He also attributed the slow start in Game 1 to the rust factor. Tocchet said the Flyers really dont have the same hate for the Devils as they do for the Penguins.
