Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn looked ready early in his rehab assignment.  Despite being productive, the Phillies patiently waited out his rehab stint just in case of an injury.  That way, the Phillies could delay a tough decision on either Aaron Altherr or Nick Williams.  As it turned out, the roster situation worked itself out, thanks to an injury.

The Phillies announced Thursday afternoon that Odubel Herrera was placed on the 10-day Injured List with a strained hamstring.  Herrera aggravated his hamstring on a defensive play during Wednesday's Phillies win against the New York Mets.  Herrera left the game early and was replaced by Altherr.

Herrera was batting .270 with one home run and seven runs batted in.

Quinn's rehab stint included three games for Class-A Advanced Clearwater and four for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Quinn batted a combined .370, including one double, one triple, and one home run.  Quinn walked four times and stole two bases.
