There seems to be another team interested in Cole Hamels.

Add the Arizona Diamondbacks to the list of teams that have their eyes on Hamels, according to ESPN.com MLB writer Jerry Crasnick.

Although Arizona is one of 20 clubs on Hamels' no-trade list, he has indicated that he'd be willing to consider a deal to any club. Crasnick reports that the Diamondbacks have reached out to the Phillies to express their interest in Hamels.

Arizona would be looking at Hamels as more of a long-term play since he's under contract through 2018 with an option for 2019.

Meanwhile another team that has interest in Hamels are the Houston Astros.  Houston is also on Hamels' no-trade list and it's been reported previously that he might not be willing to waive it in order to go to the Astros.

However, ESPN's Jayson Stark reports that the Astros "were told weeks ago" that Hamels would not approve a trade to Houston.  But as both Stark and Crasnick, have reported, the Astros are still making calls to see if a deal can happen.
