Report: Eagles' have increased interest in former All-Pro LB

With the hamstring injury to Zach Cunningham, coupled with the injury to Nakobe Dean, the Eagles have increasing interest in free agent linebacker Shaq Leonard according to veteran NFL reporter Josina Anderson.

The Colts cut their three-time All-Pro linebacker back on Nov. 22nd. He was in for a workout with the Dallas Cowboys last week, but didn't leave with a deal.

According to Anderson, the Eagles didn't have interest in Leonard, but now that Cunningham could be down, they could bring him in.

The team played Nick Morrow and Christian Ellis at the linebacker spot after Cunningham went down.. Ellis played 27 snaps on defense.

The 28-year-old linebacker has missed 15 games due to injuries over the last two seasons, but was able to play on 70 percent of the Colts’ defensive snaps this season for the Colts. This season he has 65 tackles, with two for loss.
