The Phillies, Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees all took visits from free agent infielder Manny Machado last week.  Many wondered if that would mean that Machado would be close to making a decision.  It appears that the three Machado suitors and fans are going to have to wait.

Veteran Yankees reporter Jack Curry of the YES Network said that Machado left the Bronx "wanting to be a Yankee".   However, Curry said that the Yankees were willing to do seven years and might be willing to do an eighth.  But, the Yankees expect the Phillies to blow past their dollars and years and perhaps go to a 10-year deal.

The Phillies probably would like an answer, too, because they can then pursue other options who may no longer be available by the time they have their answer.
