Ron Jaworski Helps Usher in New AFL Team to Atlantic City [AUDIO]

One of, if not the biggest name in the Arena Football League is involved in bringing the sport to Atlantic City and he was at Boardwalk Hall on Thursday to introduce the team to the area.

Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Ron Jaworski, AFL chairman of the executive committee, along with Trifecta Sports CEO George Manias, were on hand Thursday to discuss the new teams impact on South Jersey.

The group, who are both part of the Philadelphia Soul and Albany Empire ownership group, along with AFL commissioner Randel Boe and head coach Ron James met the media for the first time at Boardwalk Hall, the new home of the yet to be named franchise.

Along with the new radio voice of the team, Nick Kosko, I had the chance to speak to Jaworski, live from Thursday's press conference to discuss his his involvement and excitement about Atlantic City joining the Arena League team.

There has been a lot of naysayers when it comes to the Arena Football coming to Atlantic City, but if could be a huge success. One of the reasons, is the team should be financially sound, they have more money than some of the other professional teams that have come to Atlantic City, and also have a model to work with in the Philadelphia Soul, which should make it easier. The Soul recently won back to back Arena Bowl Championships.
