Saint Peter’s Cinderella is still Dancing as Villanova advances

Spring has sprung and the cream is rising to the top in the NCAA Men's College Basketball tournament.  The St. Peter’s Peacocks, winners of the MAAC tournament in Atlantic City, continue their run as the fifteen seed from Jersey City and their story has captivated the nation.  After beating number two seed Kentucky Wildcats and the next round number seven seed Murray State, the Peacocks are in Philadelphia for Friday Night's Sweet Sixteen game against the Purdue Boilermakers at the Wells Fargo Center.  The Peacocks are only the third 15th seed to make it to the sweet 16 in tournament history.  On Thursday night, Jay Wright's Villanova team advanced to the Elite 8 with their hard-fought win against Michigan. There is always drama with the NCAA Tournament, that's why it's called March Madness! 

In two weeks the Phillies open their 2022 campaign against the Oakland Athletics at Citizens Bank Park on April 8th.  The Flyers traded Claude Giroux before the NH: Trade Deadline and then go get their first win on the road in 2022 against the St. Louis Blues and former Flyers Head Coach Craig Berube.  The Eagles sign a Wide Receiver who knows Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni and the Sixers only have ten regular season games left.  Are they ready for the playoffs? The Locker Room will talk about it all this weekend!

On Saturday’s show, former Eagles Linebacker Brad Quast joins me in the studio. We will review the NCAA tournament action and the week in sports.  The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan checks in from Las Vegas with his thoughts and big plays for the weekend. Then we will talk with Hall of Fame sports columnist who has covered 45 NCAA final fours and 35 National Championships Dick Weiss.  Dick has seen it all and we have him at 11am.  Plus we will go to San Antonio, Texas and get pre-game analysis from the radio voice of the Villanova Wildcats Ryan Fannon.  The Phillies,Sixers, Flyers and Eagles will also be discussed. 

On Sunday’s Show, Pete Thompson and I will bring you up to date with all the latest from the weekend in sports and get you ready for Sunday's Basketball action in College Basketball and the Sixers in Phoenix.  The Phillies continue spring training and we will take a look at their projected starting lineup.
