In what started out as a promising season for the Sixers, took a bit of a turn as multiple injuries and a suspension made things a bit bumpy.

However, the team is finally is starting to get some good news.

Key Starters Nearing Return for Charlotte Matchup

The team got Paul George and Joel Embiid back in the lineup on Wednesday and on Friday announced that both Kelly Oubre Jr. and Tyrese Maxey are questionable to return for Saturday's big matchup in Charlotte against the Hornets.

Kelly Oubre Jr. Confirms Intent to Play

Oubre did tell reporters on Friday that he planned on playing on Saturday, saying “I’m playing basketball tomorrow".

Tyrese Maxey’s Surprising Recovery Timeline

Meanwhile,  Maxey is somewhat of a surprise, he has been sidelined since a March 7 loss against Atlanta after suffering a tendon injury in his right pinky finger in a collision with teammate Adem Bona. 

Initial reports suggested that Maxey would be re-evaluated on March 31, which would be this coming Tuesday.

Joel Embiid and Paul George Lead the Charge

Embiid scored 35 points in his return from injury on Wednesday, and Paul George had 28 points in his first game since serving a 25-game suspension.

The team could have all four players back, joining VJ Edgecombe on Saturday in Charlotte.
