While Sixers basketball and the NBA might be on a hiatus, we caught up with the longtime radio voice of the team, Tom McGinnis to discuss his journey to the NBA on Wednesday's edition of The Sports Bash.

McGinnis discussed his career path, taking him from Illinois, to South Carolina, to covering The Masters, to calling ECHL hockey games before landing with the Sixers in 1995.

We discussed working with and without radio partners, working court side and calling games from high above the court and where he came up with his famous "are you kidding me" call.

You can of course McGinnis once Sixers basketball returns right here on 97.3 ESPN, South Jersey's home for Sixers basketball.

Enjoy!
