The Eagles defense struggled again on Sunday.

This time it was Las Angles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert that picked them apart, completing 32-of-38 passes for 356 yards and two touchdowns.

Herbert joins Dak Prescott, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady and Derek Carr as quarterback who have roasted the Eagles defense, all completing over 80% of their passes.

So far this season, the Eagles defense is on a historic pace, allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 75.5% of their passes this season.

"Obviously not good enough starting with myself and by the defense there with the pass defense," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said after the loss.

Gannon was a hire that was lauded by NFL insiders, he was considered a bright NFL mind and many saw him as a future head coach.  So far he has been extremity underwhelming in his role as the top defensive-mind.  The defense is passive and lacks aggression as these numbers from our friend Jeff Kerr show, they only blitz 18.9% of the time and play man coverage 10.5% of the time, which is worst in the league.

Gannon philosophy is, if you have long drives, you are likely to make a mistake.  A big penalty, a fumble, an interception - sadly these aren't happening. Teams are scoring.  Las Angles' punter never saw the field on Sunday.
