The Philadelphia Flyers win a hard fought battle against the Ottawa Senators by a score of 4-3. Travis Konecny started the scoring off a few minutes into the game, but later that period, he was hit hard and did not return. Jake Voracek and Joel Farabee fought to stand up for their teammate. The Flyers are calling it an upper body injury and he will be reevaluated on Monday. Brady Thachuk tied the game up before Shayne Gostisbehere cranked a clapper to take the lead 2-1 lead heading into the second period. Craig Anderson left the game for Ottawa after feeling discomfort. In the second, Carter Hart and Gostisbehere miscommunicated on the power play which led to Anthony Duclair tying up the game shorthanded on a wrap around. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! In the third period, Ivan Provorov netted an early goal to retake the lead, but Duclair scored his second of the night with five minutes to go to tie the game once again. 11 seconds later, Scott Laughton took the lead back and started screaming at the Senators bench. With 27 seconds left, Thachuk jumped Laughton and started throwing punches when he was on the ice. Personally, I believe that should get looked at by the league. GREAT win by the Flyers!
