Sports Talk with Brodes: Marc Zumoff Joins To Discuss the Sixers
Marc Zumoff, Philadelphia Sixers Play-by-play announcer, joins Brodes to talk about broadcasting in the COVID19 environment, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and the current state of the Sixers!

5 Takeaways From Dave Dombrowski’s Press Conference
Dave Dombrowski was announced today in an introductory press conference. I was very critical of the hire from the jump, but I won't lie, his answers were refreshing. It was honestly strange to hear a Phillies presser that didn't turn into a joke with embarrassing quotes thrown around by John Middleton.

Sports Talk with Brodes: Phillies Hiring Dave Dombrowski
Is this the worst hire in the world? Absolutely not. Dave Dombrowski has won two World Series titles, one with the Boston Red Sox in 2018 and one with the Miami Marlins in 1997. He also brought the Detroit Tigers to two World Series, but failed to win it.
He doesn't come without flaws. Every organization he leaves, burns to the ground. Do you want to know why Mookie Betts is no longer a Red Sox? Well, look at the contracts of Chris Sale, David Price, Nathan Eovaldi. Losing Betts is a franchise changing move and let's be realistic, it's hard to get fired 11 months after winning a championship. The Tigers are still trying to rebuild from how he left the organization.
With that being said, Dombrowski has a role in this league, but I don't see his style fitting with where the Phillies are. He destroys minor league systems and he spends too much money. Is that what John Middleton wants to do right now? The message is unclear.

Sports Talk with Brodes: Eagles Fall to the Seahawks, Again
This should be no surprise, but the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Seattle Seahawks. Doug Pederson makes me angry. Carson Wentz missed a ton of throws. The defense held them in the game as long as possible. Here is my reaction:

Jeffrey Lurie Reportedly Gave Directive to Play Jalen Hurts
It has been an interesting couple of weeks to say the least for the Philadelphia Eagles team. It feels like a drama TV series where there are a ton of cliffhangers and crazy storylines dropping. Jeff McLane, Philadelphia Inquirer, broke a story about how frustrated Jeffrey Lurie is to the point where he was not in Cleveland for the game against the Browns. In Saturday's press conference, November 28, prior the Seattle Seawhawks game, Doug Pederson was asked about Jalen Hurts and mentioned Hurts got the same number of reps as he would normally during a week of practice. Tim McManus, ESPN, reported the first-team snaps were increased. Was Pederson technically wrong if the snap count was the same, but more were with the starters? Technically no, but the issue with messaging has been a problem all year long. It is very fair to question how much say Pederson has right now with decisions. If Lurie is upset with the outcome each week, does he have his fingerprints on the team? Geoff Mosher, Inside the Birds, reported Lurie gave directive to play Hurts if Carson Wentz struggles.

Sports Talk with Brodes: Wentz 4 Turnovers in Win Against Dallas
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 23-9. Carson Wentz threw two horrendous interceptions and added two fumbles as well. Doug Pederson called a terrible game, but somehow they managed to come out on top. Brandon Graham and TJ Edwards changed the game defensively.

Sports Talk with Brodes: Eagles Sneak Out a Victory Against the Giants
The Philadelphia Eagles found a way to sneak out of Lincoln Financial Field with a victory thanks to Carson Wentz and the offense. They were down 21-10 with 6 minutes left in the game and Wentz led the team on back-to-back drives to take the lead. His most noticeable throw was to Boston Scott down the sideline for the game-winning touchdown and let me tell you, this throw was ELITE. This was coming after a Jason Kelce facemask which brought the Eagles away from the goal-line and you could argue it was a blessing in disguise based off of their redzone numbers. Doug Pederson had so many head-scratching plays, I don't even know where to begin.

Sports Talk with Brodes: Rays Win Game 2 as Snell Records 9 Ks, Lowe 2 HRs
The Rays take Game 2 of the World Series by a score of 6-4. Blake Snell struck out nine batters and Brandon Lowe hit two opposite-field home-runs! The second home-run being on an 0-2 count with two outs in the fifth inning off Dustin May.
Snell ran into some trouble in the bottom half of the fifth inning after getting out Cody Bellinger and AJ Pollock. Kike Hernandez walked and Chris Taylor took Snell deep to cut into the lead. Mookie Betts walked and Corey Seagor singled. Kevin Cash made the decision at that moment it was time to pull his starter.
Nick Anderson, Peter Fairbanks, Aaron Loup, and Diego Castillo had a job to do out of the bullpen. Nothing new for this Rays squad.
Loup struck out Bellinger looking to end the eighth inning in a two-run game with Justin Turner on third. Very impressive. The Rays needed this one, no doubt about it. With Tony Gonsolin on the mound for the Dodgers, this was a game to take!

Sports Talk with Brodes: Dodgers Take Game 1 of the World Series!
The Dodgers take a 1-0 series lead after beating the Rays 8-3 in Game 1 of the World Series.
Clayton Kershaw recorded eight strikeouts in six innings. Tyler Glasnow allowed a two-run shot by Cody Bellinger after walking Max Muncy in the fourth. In the fifth inning, Glasnow walked Betts and Corey Seagor back-to-back to start the inning. Kevin Cash kept him in too long and that was the turning point of the game.
Oh yeah, by the way, Betts is a good at baseball.

Sports Talk with Brodes: Eagles Battle, But Fall 30-28 to Ravens
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 30-28. Carson Wentz was sacked 6 times and hit way too much throughout the game. That's what happens when your offensive line is not existent. The fact it was this close is insane. A failed 2 point conversion at the end was the difference. Questioning Doug Pederson's play call is very fair considering it was a read option to tie the game....
