The Philadelphia Flyers drop their first game in regulation to the Calgary Flames by a score of 3-1. This game was dreadful. The Flyers had zero energy and looked lethargic. I hate to admit it, but this reminded me of the Dave Hakstol era. Due to a back to back situation, Carter Hart did not play and Brian Elliot was in between the pipes. He did a fine job as the third goal was an empty netter. Travis Konecny recorded another point as he assisted Matt Niskanen's goal. They did show fight in the third period, but the first two periods were awful. I think they iced the puck 5,693 times.
