The Philadelphia Flyers lose in overtime to the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 5-4. They finish the road trip going 1-4-1 which is not good at all! They continue to have d zone breakdowns and lack energy at times. For once, they actually scored first thanks to Travis Konecny. Michael Raffl scored after that to give the Flyers a two-goal lead. The Hurricanes responded with FOUR unanswered goals. This is unacceptable! Brian Elliott would probably want a couple of those back and he also had an injury scare, but was able to battle through everything. Nicolas Aube-Kubel scored to make it a one-goal game before Travis Sanhiem tied it up with five minutes to go in the third. In overtime, Jake Voracek cranked one off the crossbar and of course Dougie Hamilton scores on the other side to end the game. The Flyers return home with a tilt against the Washington Capitals Wednesday night in a back-to-back situation.
