Sports Talk with Brodes: Flyers Obliterate the Capitals on the Road 7-2!
The Philadelphia Flyers obliterate the Washington Capitals on the road by a score of 7-2. Claude Giroux records his 800th NHL point, Nicolas Aube-Kubel had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick, and Sean Couturier scored two goals. The Flyers executed on most of the mistakes by the Caps and there sure were a lot of them. Braden Holtby had a horrible night and the home fans sarcastically cheered when he made a save. Jakub Voracek had a beautiful assist, James Van Riesmdyk found the score sheet, and Travis Konecny produced two points. Let's not forget that Brian Elliott has been very solid during Carter Hart's injury. Alain Vigneault wasn't thrilled about the loss to the New Jersey Devils in the last game, but he certainly understood how good his team is. He knew they would bounce back. There is something to be said about the way he has this team playing. His personality is rubbing off on this core of guys!
