The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 2-1 to take a 1-0 series lead. It was not their best game at all, but Carter Hart was magnificent. The only goal he allowed was on the power-play when Shea Weber found an open-net after the puck bounced to him in the slot.

Ivan Provorov scored to open up the game in the first period by putting the puck on net from the blue line with a man-advantage. Joel Farabee scored the game winning goal seconds after Montreal tied it up in the second period.

The Flyers played sloppy at times, specifically in the second period, and they will have to clean things up! With that being said, they left a ton of scoring chances on the table. Scott Laughton had a wide-open net and was robbed by Carey Price. Nate Thompson shot the puck in the corner when Price was nowhere to be found. The Fly Guys had multiple power-plays in the third period and came up empty. I thought they gave the Habs too many chances. Luckily, Carter Hart delivered!
