Sports Talk with Brodes: Flyers Win 5-3 & Claude Giroux Records 4 Points!

The Philadelphia Flyers win 5-3 against the Carolina Hurricanes. Claude Giroux scored two goals and recorded 2 assists. This was huge for him as he needed a night to get going offensively. Alain Vigneault has been calling out his veteran players to the media and he finally had one respond. Morgan Frost was spectacular in his second NHL game by contributing two points. Travis Konecny assisted three goals. Brian Elliot struggled for the first 10 minutes or so, but from there he felt more comfortable and made timely saves. One thing that is fun about this team is that young guns are truly carrying the squad. For the future, this is insanely intriguing, but for this season as a whole it shows me that the team can be even better when, or if, the veterans get going
