Still No Love for Foles

Mike and Todd talk about another victory for Nick Foles, this time it came at home that ended a 10 game losing streak. Todd Ranck admitted that he has turned the corner on Nick Foles and is willing to give him a longer leash and is ready to see what he can offer. Mike Gill says not so fast. While Foles has played well since coming in, he is not impressed with the competition Foles has seen in beating teams like Oakland, Tampa and Washington.

Barrett Brooks

Joined Mike and Todd today at 3:05 for his recap of Nick Foles performance and the Eagle win over the Redskins. Brooks said that Foles is living up to the expectations he put on himself before the season began. Brooks still thinks the Eagles should draft a QB in the 1st round because a running QB still fits Chip Kelly's system the best. On the Eagles defense: Brooks said that they are playing in the top 10 right now even with three of their starters out injured. DeMeco Ryans is playing at a Pro Bowl level right now and are stopping the run and blitzing well right now.  Follow Brooks on Twitter.

Todd Zolecki

MLB.com beat writer called in to talk about the Phillies news of the day. Carlos Ruiz has resigned with the team on a 3-year $26 million contract. There is also a club option for a fourth year. Zolecki said judging from his mailbag and Twitter, it's not a popular move. He's been on the DL each of the last 5 years and it's a very sizable commitment for a guy like that. Why all of sudden do you think your team of aging players will bounce back after two years of decline. Zolecki says that its a tough sell right now because your banking on everything going right with mediocre complimentary pieces. Follow Zolecki on Twitter.

Rant on Ruiz

Mike Gill goes on a classic rant against Ruben Amaro and the Phillies who just signed Carlos Ruiz to a 3-year $26 million deal. A MUST LISTEN:

Jeff McLane

For McLane Mondays talking about the Eagles win over the Redskins. McLane said that he thinks it's a combination of both the offense and Nick Foles when dissecting their games. You have to give Foles credit though, as he is winning games and not turning the ball over. There is also some truth to the fact that Kelly's system is "QB friendly." McLane also said that the time has come to start trusting this defense even though they dont have any big names and they tend to give up yardage. Follow McLane on Twitter.
