Local fans of the craft beer scene, here is a little brewery tour for you and your friends to take the next time you want to check out some cool spots. Brewery tours are a fun day (make sure to get a designated driver) for a group of friends who enjoy trying different craft beers and checking out different tap rooms in South Jersey.

It's a fun day, you meet good people, and get to check out different styles of beers.

Kicking Off the Tour: Bullhide Brewery and Swedesboro

My buddy and I took a drive out Route 40 to some Salem County craft beer spots and checked out the new Bullhide Brewery, across from Cowtown Rodeo at 761 Route 40, Building 3 in Pilesgrove.

The building was pretty cool, it has plenty of space and tables and a full bar, an outside area, and plenty of TVs if that's something you are looking for to watch your favorite games.

They have a good amount of beers to choose from, 10 in all, and while many of you know I am an IPA fan, their Bucking Shute was good, but not my favorite IPA on this day.

We left Bullhide and went over to Sweedsboro Brewing Company, which is in the corner of Gloucester County, and is one of three locations they have. This one is located at 95 Woodstown Road in Swedesboro and offers plenty of beers to choose from. The taproom is smaller, but it has plenty of tables and had the Flyers game on, with the sound on, for bonus points. I went with the Trash Panda 3 and the Raccoon IPA, both were solid.

Small Towns, Big Flavors: Lost Elephant and Farmers and Bankers

From there, we went to Lost Elephant, 20 N Main Street in Elmer.  What a cool little spot with a small bar when you walk in and a small seating area off to the side.  It has limited hours, but if you get the chance to check it out, it's a cool spot.

Next, we took a ride over to Farmers and Bankers, 8 N Main Street in Woodstown.  It's a great spot with a lot of beers to choose from, plenty of room at the bar, some TV with the games on, and plenty of tables to sit. I grabbed a Collin the Destroyer and Nectaron Fields Forever, and it's close enough to a local pizza spot that we walked over to and grabbed a pie.

The Final Stop: IPAs and Speakeasies at Buena Connection

Last, we ended the night at Buena Connection, 112 Wheat Road, which is becoming one of my favorite spots with their Backroads IPA.  The place is pretty big and has plenty of seating and even a second-floor speakeasy that you should check out.

Have a cool brewery tour or trail you have done?  Let me know, would love to hear about your favorite spots in South Jersey!
