
Webster’s Tavern Set to Replace the Former Windjammer in Somers Point
Somers Point is set to get a new dining experience at familair spot as Webster's Tavern will be replacing the Windjammer, which closed for good back in November.
From the Windjammer to Webster's Tavern: A New Chapter
According to a video posted by Shorn Construction, the new restaurant is expected to open by this summer. The video showed construction crews beginning the demo of the interior of the former Windjammer.
We are underway with the demolition of everyone’s soon to be favorite restaurant in Somers Point, NJ! Websters Tavern kicked off with the removal of many of the existing finishes from the Windjammer. The design is coming together with construction anticipated to begin near the beginning of February ’26! Ocean City and Somers Point, get ready for this great new restaurant by the start of Summer ’26!
Somers Point City Council approved the Windjammer’s liquor license transfer to Websters SP LLC on Nov. 13.
The building was formerly a TGI Friday’s and became The Windjammer on Oct. 11, 2011. Owner Steve Tiniakos retired and sold the property, which will now become Webster's Tavern, giving Somers Point a new spot for dinner, drinks, and a night out.
