Allen Iverson Retires

We opened up today's show playing an hour long Allen Iverson retirement press conference held today at the Wells Fargo Center. Iverson spoke for close to 50 minutes off the cuff with no script or prepared statements, straight from the heart with words on his sleeves as only AI would have it. Iverson was reduced to tears at the end of the press conference while thanking Aaron McKie who was always there for him on the court and off the court. Pat Croce

Former Sixers President and the man who essentially gave Allen Iverson his start in Philadelphia Pat Croce called in to talk about his time spent with Iverson and what it was like managing his ego along with a stubborn head coach in Larry Brown. Croce spent life as the middle man making sure these two coexisted saying that "they all had the same goal." Croce also tells a story about a time where a deal was in place in trading Iverson away in a 3-team deal, but Croce held off and called Iverson and talked it out.

Dei Lynam

CSN Philly analyst Dei Lynam called in to talk about the Iverson retirement press conference. Lynam was personally shouted out by Iverson when asking a question to him and later on interviewed him 1-on-1. Lynam talked about Iverson and his reluctance to condition and practice during the season and off season. Lynam also talks about Iverson's reluctance to communicate with the media and commit in doing that. Follow Lynam on Twitter.

Sheil Kapadia

Sheil Kapadia, Birds 24/7, called in to talk about the Eagles upcoming game against the Oakland Raiders. Kapadia talks about the surprisingly struggling offense in particular LeSean McCoy who has come back down to earth after the first few games of the season. The Eagles were # 1 in rushing some weeks ago. Kapadia also talks about Mike Vick and what his status is and going forward with Nick Foles, how much he struggled against the Dallas Cowboys.
