After Carter Hart helped capture two points in overtime defeats to start the trip, he ended it with a 48-save performance as the Flyers pulled out a 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night.

The Flyers close out a four-game road trip by facing the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night.

Less than two minutes into the third period, a miscommunication changed the outlook, allowing the Devils to get ahead and grab the lead and never look back. The Flyers continued to put forth the effort, but fell short in a 3-2 loss to the Devils on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flyers and Devils meet again on Saturday night, well past the quarter mark of the regular season, and both heading in opposite directions.

The Devils are back on the schedule for the Flyers on Tuesday night, closing out the three-game season series, this time trying to pick up a third-straight win. 

All that is left now for the Flyers is one more match with the New Jersey Devils to close out the 2020-21 season. 

In Saturday's series finale, the Devils finished off the series win, cruising to a 4-1 win over the Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.

As the Flyers face the Devils for the third time this week, a loss of any kind by the Flyers and a win of any kind by the Boston Bruins against the Buffalo Sabres will officially eliminate the Flyers from playoff contention.
