Like a scene from the movie The Wolf of Wall Street, Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella wasn't leaving.

John Tortorella was tossed from the game in the first period as the Flyers were lit up by the Tampa Bay Lightning, 7-0, on Saturday night.

It finally happened. The San Jose Sharks snapped their 11-game season-opening winless streak against the Flyers on Tuesday night.

The Flyers hit the West coast and start a four-game road trip on Tuesday night against the winless San Jose Sharks.

Tony DeAngelo picked up the game-winning goal off the rush to give the Flyers a 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.

Back from the break, the Flyers head out west for the next three games, two of them coming against teams trailing them in the standings. It starts on Thursday night as they face off against the San Jose Sharks.

James van Riemsdyk left the game in the first period with an injury. In the third period, trailing 2-0, John Tortorella firmly planted Kevin Hayes and Travis Konecny on the bench, rotating nine forwards for the remainder of the Flyers' 3-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks.

Before a three-day pause from gameplay, the Flyers close out a back-to-back against the Sharks, a team with just one win in their first seven games.

Tomas Hertl was on the hook for three straight goals for the Sharks, picking up a natural hat trick to hand the Flyers their fifth straight loss, 3-2, at Wells Fargo Center. 

The Flyers will still be down several regulars as they take on the Sharks, who are also dealing with several absences, on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center.
