The high school football first-round West Jersey Football League 'pod' games were played this weekend with Ocean City knocking off St. Joe's for the first time in 44 years.
The final regular week of the high school football season saw some good games all across South Jersey with big a win from Holy Spirit over St. Augustine, Millville with a huge upset over Williamstown and a blowout win by Ocean City over rival Mainland.
The winners would normally be announced during the annual CAL Celebration on the Ocean City Music Pier but that event was cancelled by the COVID-19 quarantines.
