Seven game series that go the distance especially have an edge to them; Things happen along the way in a close series that creates an atmosphere of intense, chippy play.  Big checks, cheap shots, bad calls, they all contribute to a playoff series worth watching.  The excitement level is second to none. The Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens are locked in the battle of bad blood with Game Six is tonight at 7pm and the Flyers will be without solid veteran Defenseman Matt Niskanen.  Niskanen was suspended by the NHL for game six after Cross-Checking Canadians Forward Brenden Gallagher in the face from which Gallagher suffered a broken jaw that requires surgery, forcing Gallagher out for the rest of the series. That hit, even though it wasn't intentional, reminds Flyers fans of another nasty hit that Brian Propp suffered at the hands of Canadiens Defenseman Chris Chelios back in the 1989 playoff series which the Canadiens won Four games to Two over Philadelphia.

Tomorrow in The Locker Room - Scott McKay and I will recap the Flyers-Canadiens series and we will talk with our special guest, former Flyers Goalie and former General Manager of the Flyers Ron Hextall about Brian Propp and his opinion on Propp's career along with look back on the Chelios hit that angered Hexy enough to seek retribution against Chelios in game six of that series.

As the summer gets closer to its conclusion we continue our “ Legends of Lifeguard Racing” segment and focus on 4-time South Jersey Swimming Champion from the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol John Maloy!  All the action starts Saturday morning at 10am on 97.3 ESPN FM.
