
Toms River Girl Carries Little League Team to Regional Tournament
The Toms River Little League won its first game of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament at the in Bristol, Conn.
The game was over in four innings, 12-2, with a nine-run third inning, according to parents at the game.
Jason Kapp drove in a run with a double to center followed by a two-run double by Kayla Roncin. Jon Giordano closed the inning with a grand slam.
The team will play a New York Little League at 5 p.m. Sunday. Other states included in the tournament include: Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
