The team is signing former Wake Forest quarterback Jamie Newman, who ended his career at the University of Georgia. Newman never ended up played a game for the Bulldogs, deciding to opt out of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Newman threw for 2,868 yards with a 26 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and also ran for 574 yards and six touchdowns in his final season at Wake Forest.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder was at one point viewed as a potential first-round pick before opting out.

He will battle with Joe Flacco to be the teams No. 2 quarterback, but will likely open the season as the teams third quarterback, but is an interesting prospect.

The team is also adding former Texas A&M wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon, who is a big possession receiver with good hands.
