Congrats to Holy Spirit senior Mike Di Ianni who ran away with last week's 97.3 ESPN Athlete of the Week honors.

This week, we have a fresh batch of local student-athletes who have proven themselves worthy on their respective fields.

Brandon Bowen, Baseball, Absegami - He tossed a complete-game two-hitter against Mainland. Bowen struck out nine batters in a 7-1 victory.

 

Kelly Hanna, Lacrosse, Ocean City - She netted five goals in a tightly contested matchup with Mainland. Hanna helped push the Red Raiders to a 13-12 victory.

 

Ishmael Muhammad, Track & Field, Oakcrest - The senior won three relay events and earned Outstanding Track Athlete honors at the annually acclaimed Bridgeton Relays. He is committed to compete collegiality at Villanova.

 

Jon Newman, Baseball, Cedar Creek - He collected six total hits in a two-game span, leading the Pirates to wins over Buena and Wildwood Catholic.

 

Dominique D'Andrea, Softball, St. Joe - She helped the Wildcats cruise past Holy Spirit with impressive efforts on the mound and at the plate. D'Andrea delivered two doubles and struck out nine batters in a 6-2 win.
