Zack Novick, Middle Township tennis – Took top honors in the CAL individual boys tennis tournament by topping Hammonton’s Pete Lancetta in Tuesday’s title match. Novick, a junior, won the championship showdown, 6-4, 6-1, at Vineland. He is now the only unbeaten No. 1 singles player in the league.

Maria Jimenez, Vineland track and field – Jimenez set a CAL record in javelin with a throw of 154 feet, 6 inches at Thursday’s Penn Relays Carnival in Philadelphia. The distance was good enough for second-place at the prestigious event, which is hosted by University of Pennsylvania’s historic Franklin Field.

Mike Frankenfield, Lower Cape May lacrosse – The senior attacker became the first player in program history to score at least 100 career goals. Frankenfield reached the century mark in Lower’s loss to Ocean City on Monday afternoon. He will play for Division I Wagner College.
