Julia Duggan, Basketball, Ocean City - The Red Raiders standout senior forward has started the season strong. Duggan, who is committed to Rider University, lifted her squad to a statement victory Sunday over defending Group I state champ Cedar Creek. She scored 16 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in a 53-41 victory.

 

Michael Holloway, Basketball, Sacred Heart - The sophomore center has helped spearhead Sacred Heart's surprising 3-0 start in the United Conference. Holloway tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 45-38 victory over defending conference champion Pleasantville.

 

Sydney Boswell, Swimming, Mainland The senior surged to first-place finishes in individual races (200 IM and 100 backstroke) and played a part in two relay wins against Egg Harbor Township. Boswell, an all-conference performer, is trying to lead the Mustangs to a third consecutive American Conference title.

 

Darrell Shelton, Basketball, Middle Township - A month after playing a pivotal role in the Panthers first football playoff run since 2004, Shelton is back to his old tricks on the basketball court. He buried four three-pointers on his way to 23 points in a commanding 67-47 victory over longtime CAL rival St. Augustine.
