Wall To Wall Basketball gives The Locker Room a lot to talk about
The first day of March Madness plus Saint Patrick's Day was a great excuse to take a half-day or call out sick on Thursday. The Basketball Marathon starts at noon each year and I had my bracket in hand all day into the night tracking my picks like most sports fans do. Of course, I went to a local establishment, had some wings and a couple of beers then headed home for the night slate of games. Now at home, I'm watching the Kentucky versus Saint Peter's game; The Peacocks were the winners of the MAAC Men's Tournament in Atlantic City. We all got to see one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history on Thursday Night!
A steady diet of basketball? Yeah I’m enjoying it! This weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim we have a lot to talk about: The start of the NCAA tournament, The Sixers, the Phillies, and Eagles in NFL Free Agency.
On Saturday’s show, Mike Carlin joins me in the studio. The NCAA tournament, the Sixers, and free agency in the NFL plus MLB has created some drama and we will talk about it all! The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan will chime in on his reaction to the Kentucky loss to St. Peters and his big plays for the weekend.
On Sunday’s show, Pete Thompson and Brad Quast join me in the studio as we review the weekend in sports. At 11am, we will hear from the head coach of the 2002 NCAA National Championship Maryland Terrapins, Gary Williams. Coach Williams, a Collingswood graduate, will talk to us about the tournament and his run to win it all.
All those topics plus your text messages this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to Noon on 97.3 ESPN Radio South Jersey.
