It's a big season for Alec Bohm, now entering year four with the Philadelphia Phillies, after being picked No. 3 overall in the 2018 draft.

Bohm crushed a home run ito left center field n the first inning of Monday’s spring training game against the Pirates in Bradenton, to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead.

It was his first homer of the Grapefruit League and hopefully is a sign of big things to come for the 26-year old., who hit just 13 long balls last season.

Phillies fans are hopeful that Bohm can take his game to the next level, after a solid 2022 season. He has shown flashes in the past, including his rookie season in 2020, hitting .338 with four home runs and 23 RBI in 44 games.

However, he was nowhere near the player he was as a rookie during this sophomore campaign, hitting just .247 with seven round-trippers, getting sent to the minors in 2021.

The Phillies will need that Bohm to step it up with Bryce Harper out until around the All-Star break, but today was a good step in the right direction, showing some power, early in spring.
