It didn't take Bryce Hrper long to show Phillies fans he is ready to return.

Harper, who has been out since June 25 after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured left thumb, launched a home run on a 2-2 pitch, during his first at-bat during his rehab assignment in Lehigh Valley.

Harper was batting second and was the teams designated hitter in his minor league rehab assignment for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.  He is scheduled to play at Lehigh tonight thru Saturday and could be back with Philadelphia for Monday's game in Arizona.

If tonight's first at-bat is any indication that he is ready to return, expect to see him back in the middle of the Phillies lineup on Monday, if not sooner.
