Watch: Former Phillie Asdrubal Cabrera Punches Opposing Player

Former Philadelphia Phillies utility man Asdrubal Cabrera made some news over the weekend during a Venezuelan winter league game.

The 15-year MLB player was in the field when an opposing player hit a home run and did a bat flip towards the opposing dugout.

Cabrera was playing first base when the incident occured.

While the batter was rounding first base, after he admired his home run, he slowly trotted out of the batter’s box and stared into the opposing dugout, then tossed his bat into the air.

When the player reached and rounded first base, Cabrera was there to greet him with a left-hand to the face, which resulted in a big brawl between both teams.

Cabrera was traded to the Phillies during the 2018 season and last played in the MLB in 2021 with Arizona and the Cincinnati Reds. During his brief 49 game stint with Philadelphia, Cabrera hit .228 with five home runs and 17 runs batted in.

He was acquired from the Mets in exchange for right-handed pitcher Franklyn Kilome.
