So Ben Simmons will not speak today after all.

According to reports, Simmons was ejected from practice by Sixers head coach Doc Rivers, for not being engaged and per a press release from the team, has been suspended for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team.

Per Woj on Sportscenter: "Very early in the Sixers practice today, essentially Simmons decided that he wasn't going to participate and Rivers threw him out."

He added that the way it was described was that all 30 NBA coaches would have thrown him out of practice today."

As a result, Simmons will miss the 76ers’ season opener at New Orleans tomorrow night.

Simmons was scheduled to speak today after practice, but that will not happen.

He was back at practice on Monday, but details of how much he did have been limited.  The only thing that has been out there is a 40-second video of Simmons doing defensive drills and then a video of him looking disinterested in the team breaking out of a huddle at the end of practice.

After the team broke the huddle, Simmons exited the court without talking to any of his teammates.

When he makes his debut still remins to be scene. The Sixers home opener is on Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center against the Brooklyn Nets.
